All right, I've used my share of banner advertising networks in my life and I think that you have to be real careful about which one you use.
My first experience was with FocusIn.com network. My God were they ever terrible! It took me, I remember, 8-9 months to generate the minimum of $50 balance. And that is considering my web site was pushing about 2000 unique visitors daily (all genuine high quality traffic coming from search engines). FocusIn was practically overloading my visitors with banners and inserted several pop-unders and pop-ups at the same time, until their publishers started to complain and they switched it to optional banner serving method. But even with all the banners I was generating for them (around 100,000 impressions per month at a time, all I could generate was 4-5 dollars per month). Anyways, I was very happy when I got to the $50.01 account balance because I ran away immediately after that. Got accepted into FastClick, which was less greedy, but still cheating in a way. But that's a story for another time. I'm wondering if anyone can beat my negative experience with FocusIn or any other banner network? Best, |

Hey Artashes,
I did a little check-up on FocusIn, because when I was in that field with one of my old sites, I was told to steer far clear of them. From what I understand they operate under a new name now and I wasn't surprised to see very negative feedback both from you and opinion polls around the world. I reccomend you post a review at http://www.allthewebsites.org/webdi...p?site=10&cid=3 and http://www.searchengineforums.com/a...m::advertising/ Sorry about the long URLs, but I'm too lazy to open up the real reply mode! ~Equinox
