I was thinking... How do you tell the difference between ventures that sell traffic (via pop-up, redirects or else) if that particular company is the original source or someone's reseller?

I sell traffic and I am a reseller, it's difficult to tell if people are reselling or not but for the type of traffic I sell there are those that make a few centes CPM and those that make a few dollars CPM. Price shows alot about who is reselling and who is not.

For Instance:

Seller A sells 10,000 Unique U.S. + Category Targeted Traffic for $1.00/CPM

Seller B sells 10,000 Unique U.S. + Category Targeted Traffic for $2.00/CPM

Seller A is either a direct advertiser or is making less per CPM than Seller B.

Anyway, It's just how I look at traffic sales and I gauge who is and isn't reselling based on that info.

Yes, it is how I figure this... Unfortunately with so many people traffic it would be just impossible to document a certain trend or a standard that would give the direct answer away.
